I am proud to be the New Zealand Representative on the Virtuoso Regional Member Advisory Board (AU/NZ), recently attending Virtuoso - Forum.
Forum is held annually at a different location and is a chance for New Zealand and Australian agents to gather with our preferred partners, many of whom travel a long way to join us. These are the Best of the Best travel professionals, agents, cruise line representatives, hoteliers and more.
It is a wonderful networking opportunity, with one-on-one meetings, motivational speakers, professional development, and a chance to reflect and look to the future in this dynamic industry. It is also a chance to meet with partners and learn about what makes them ‘So Virtuoso’, while renewing friendships and business relationships. It is the personal relationships and insider knowledge that we can access, working with our partners around the world, that elevate your personal travel experience from good to exceptional.
It was wonderful to see visitors to our country enjoying what we have to offer. There were opportunities for Virtuoso agents from Australia to visit locations pre and post our conference. New Zealand Tourism and the Virtuoso partners did a fabulous job of hosting agents at our luxury accommodation and showcasing the unique experiences we have to offer. Many Australian agents commented at the event and on social media what a wonderful time they had, and that – “it’s all so close!” (to Australia).
That works in reverse as well. There are wonderful opportunities for unique and luxury experiences in Australia and, if you are feeling reluctant to travel too far now, let us help you plan something close to home—whether that be in Australia or here in New Zealand.
A New Zealand Staycation will not disappoint. Treetops, Otahuna Lodge, Kinloch Manor, Minaret Station, Rosewood Kauri Cliffs, Wharekauhau, Eagles Nest, Rosewood Matakauri, Huka Lodge, Blanket Bay, Rosewood Cape Kidnappers, Eichardt’s Private Hotel. In Auckland, the Intercontinental, Sofitel, Park Hyatt, and SO.
Of course, you can pick up the phone and make a reservation yourself, but in doing so, you will miss out on the thoughtful touches and exclusive Virtuoso benefits that really do make a difference to your stay.
